Who is Pylos

Pylos is a privately-owned commercial real estate development firm with Belgian roots and an international footprint. The company was founded in 2001 by Vincent Boutens and Edward de Nève, experienced real estate professionals who joined forces to create a lean and creative property development firm which works by the motto: buy time, optimize equity and limit risks.

The first projects developed by Pylos were office development in the Brussels region. The company quickly saw the opportunity to expand to neighboring Luxembourg, where it developed iconic projects like ‘Gare Immo’, amongst others. France followed, with a focus on build-to-suit projects. In 2010, driven by the growing Brazilian economy, Pylos opened an office in São Paulo and developed several properties, including yoo2 Rio de Janeiro hotel. In 2013, Pylos looked at the African market by developing retail projects in Zambia and Mozambique. In each country of activity, Pylos partnered with strong locally anchored professionals with vast property experience in their countries.

Since its inception, the Pylos Group has developed and sold a total of 35 projects with a total sales value of more than EUR950m in these markets, with a number of projects still in portfolio.
